OUR STORY

We are Marre and Martine, a couple living on the beautiful and remote beach in Bøvær, surrounded by raw Arctic nature, white beaches, and the powerful sea. Senja is not only our home — it is our passion, and the place we want to share with the world.

Marre is originally from Sweden and first came to Senja in 2019 as a fishing guest at a local fishing camp. What started as a temporary adventure quickly turned into something much bigger. After falling in love with Senja, he returned to work at the camp, spending several years as Camp Manager. It was there that Martine and Marre met — and Marre's short stay slowly became a permanent new life in Northern Norway.

Over the years, Marre has worked as a fishing guide at two different fishing camps in Senja, gaining strong experience and deep knowledge of the local waters. He is a certified guide with a true passion for the ocean, fishing, and creating unforgettable experiences for guests.

Martine was born and raised on Senja and knows the island like the back of her hand. For her, Senja is a place of peace, strength, and magic — and she loves helping others experience that same feeling.

Together, we have created Xplor Senja, our own company built on a dream: to share the wild beauty, adventure, and calmness of Senja with people from all over the world. Whether you join us for sea fishing, sightseeing, or a relaxing stay by the ocean, we want you to feel welcome, safe, and truly connected to the Arctic nature around you.
